Where's Perry?
« on: February 06, 2014, 09:45:34 am »
I guess he's playing with his Snow blower :D, i've gave him a few shots to stir him up lately? The last one was about stinky plastic foundation, i guess he agrees with me. ??? The Squirt uses plastic foundation also and she never attacked me. I'm thinking i must be the Winner!  :P  Jack

If you must know, I was in fact clearing the driveway out this morning, just got in a half hour ago. Even did the neighbours. O:-)
As for "stinky foundation", I must not have seen that post cause rest assured, I would have answered it. >:(
One of these days Jack, I am going to take a video of me installing foundation into a frame. I'm betting the video will be maybe 3 seconds long. Then, I am going to ask you to do the same thing using your stuff. (I hope the batteries last in your camera buddy).
Then, I am going to hunt through my boxes and find a frame that has some imperfect comb drawn on it, I'm going to pull it out, scrape the comb off it, and put it back in. What will you do with one of your similar frames? (and don't tell me your bees only draw perfect comb on your foundation)  :)
Jack, how many times must I lead you to water?  8)

PS - Don't make me come down there!

Well it's 2 degree F here with 3 in. of snow on the ground and more coming next week, From the North country. Thanks Alot. Yes it does take longer to install wax foundation and the only time they don't draw perfect comb frames, is when there is a dearth on and they will eat holes in the wax foundation. The plastic foundation (recycled old milk jugs) ;D smells so bad that most times the bees drew what i call snake comb across it, i'm thinking they are in a hurry to get out of the hive for fresh air, leave alone thinking of eating it. :D. You get what you pay for, would you rather have home made pie or quick store bought pie, instant made cornbread or cornbread made from scratch? We even think different on snow removal, i figure the lord put it there for a reason and he will remove it when he wants to. 8) If i were you i'd  think twice before distroying his work, and that goes for the Squirt too. But we are still buddies. Jack
PS. Now i have Mutt and Jeff to worry about.

  Good one River.

I just checked Jack! $602 Canadian will buy me a round trip ticket to fly to Kansas City, MO.

$500 to fly down there and kick your butt.
$100 to put a bunch of Pierco foundation in your hives.
$2 to fly home again.

Total value = Priceless!

Never happen, perry will think about how much bee equipment he could by for $600.00 and figure my old butt ain't worth $600.00. Besides Iddee and Tec, take care of my light work, so there Squyirt. Jack

""I just checked Jack! $602 Canadian will buy me a round trip ticket to fly to Kansas City, MO.""

Who would ever be dumb enough to buy a round trip ticket OUT of the tundra?

I didn't think they would ever sell one of those.

PS. What can I do to make you and bee come down here. I'll do it twice.

Also give you a bonus. I'll wire up some wood frames with wax foundation and have them waiting for you.

Just checked, could do it for under $500 return. A lot of ups and downs on the return though (for someone that doesn't like to fly).
I'd use the frames and make candles with the foundation.  ;) :D

Bring your tent.

116 acres with plenty of open space.

Just take the ferry to Portland Perry.  I'll come get you and fly you out there. I could do it for 1500.00 or so :D and a weekend or so of flight time :P
I'm starting to think that the bees are keeping me...

Geez. $86 each way on the ferry, plus $1500 to Keith, I wouldn't have a cent left for plastic foundation to give Iddee.

No need, Perry. I've got charcoal and hickory for the grill.

Jack I know you are on the mend, i am a little closer than Iddee, I got your back.

Need to search out the post Perry made about wanting to make his own wood frames, I think we got him on the ropes and it want be too much longer for a convert. I know RB will hold out just to prove her point though, one day she will come around too.

Burgers grilled over charcoal and hickory, now your talking, don't want to think about what they would taste like grilled over plastic foundation. :o Now if you want a fire ??? i've been cleaning old black foundation out of frames and putting in clean bees wax foundation.( something bees recogize ;D) If you want to see the old wood stove turn red throw a couple of quarts of old black foundation in with the wood, it also smells good burning. Some plastics on the other hand can put off toxic fumes that can be fatal if breathed by humans. :o and it even stinks burning. Jack
PS. Thanks G3, 4 against 2 (Mutt and Jeff :D) they'll think twice now. ;D
