Good to see everyone again! Thanks to lazyshooter for the ride over. I'm a northern Utah backyard beekeeper with 4 colonies (all Italian double-deeps) entering my third season. I've made tons of mistakes which I'd like to attribute to my inexperience, but sadly I have to admit that most of them were by my taking shortcuts. I've been the beneficiary of much wisdom from many here already. Thank you! My beekeeping philosophy is quickly developing into a natural method focusing on genetics instead of chemicals. Thusly,  I'm going to try my hand at queen-rearing this year and recently completed a 4-chamber mating nuc constructed from a standard deep box. Going to be an interesting year. :)

That name puts a smile on my face. Thanks for coming. Know any of the others you could bring over?

"Well," said Pooh, "what I like best-" and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were.

A big smile crossed my face when I saw your name (there have been a few smiles the last day or two).
You'll see some familiar names and some new ones as well. The family is growing.  ;)

So, now you know why I posted on the other forum that the northern beeks seem to be doing OK.  :)   :welcome:
