Good to see everyone again! Thanks to lazyshooter for the ride over.

I'm a northern Utah backyard beekeeper with 4 colonies (all Italian double-deeps) entering my third season. I've made tons of mistakes which I'd like to attribute to my inexperience, but sadly I have to admit that most of them were by my taking shortcuts. I've been the beneficiary of much wisdom from many here already. Thank you! My beekeeping philosophy is quickly developing into a natural method focusing on genetics instead of chemicals. Thusly, I'm going to try my hand at queen-rearing this year and recently completed a 4-chamber mating nuc constructed from a standard deep box. Going to be an interesting year.
