Guess this mysterious object
« on: November 20, 2018, 12:31:56 pm »
I want to try something I've been participating in on another (fountain pen) forum.

The object of the game is to post a picture of something that you think others will have a hard time figuring out.  People guess, you tell them right or wrong, give hints along the way if necessary, show the object from a different angle, etc.

The winner gets to be the next person to post a "mysterious object."

It took several days and lots of hints for anyone to finally guess the object shown below.  Somehow, I think the folks here will get it in a matter of minutes.

Yep! Have used this tool a lot in my wired wax foundation days. I keep a candle burning and get the wheel hot and it rolls along quite nicely.

Some Day was the first with the correct response.  Can you believe those fountain pen guys had no idea what it was?

1/2  point to Wandering Man, Game point to neillsayers.  These started life as dental picks and I modified them to become grafting tools by using a diamond sharpening stone to change point angles.

neillsayers it is your turn.

I was afraid you'd say that, it'll take me a little time to come up with something. :eusa_doh:
