Jack, when it's noon at your house, it's 8 PM at Ef's house.

Good morning all.
I just finished my breakfast: Corn flakes and coffee.---together with my grandson who slept over in our house with his wife last night.
Today he is checking his hives for queen cell acceptance.  He has over 50 hives in my neighborhood and replaced his last year's queens with ready-to-emerge queen cells two weeks ago.  Hopefully he'll find that they've begun to lay.

Correction:  I wasn't up to date on his divisions/increase.  He checked 92 hives where he had introduced queen cells.  Eighty four of them had laying queens.  In the 8 hives where he didn't find eggs/young brood, he placed a frame with eggs, just in case the introduced queens hadn't been accepted.  That's just over 90% success.  Not bad for a 4th year beekeeper.  So he had a good morning (and noon and afternoon) too.

Now I sign off for the Sabbath.  Have a nice week-end.

I thought i wanted to get up to 100 hives, but in 2012 i got up to 92 hives and with a 5 acre truck patch and taking care of cattle it became a full time job :o. I would still like to just to say i did, but with 92 hives i never got to go fishing :'(. Jack

That’s why I put a limit on the number of hives I need. I can fish with 6 hives.

You live up in gods country. I would go nuts if I had all those little lakes to fish. Its even better over in Minnesota., I could Ice fish 5 months. I wonder whats in those lakes north of Duluth Minnesota up to the Canadian border. That’s gods country. I think if I ever went up their I wouldn’t come back.

good morning ~!
ray, i don't care for lake fishing too much, i just stick to the rivers and creeks.......but i have fished up northern minnesota and wisconsin, and near the canadian border.  it is beautiful up that way! i do like to fish for bass or pike occassionally with a fly rod, it's a lot of entertainment.

wow, today we are having a heat wave!................. :D
