the history from what i just googled.......is used to save energy and make better use of daylight......to move an hour of daylight from the morning to the evening.

make better use of daylight?.......... not sure how this saves energy either. 

on my planet, DST can go away! as i post daylight left and i'm using more energy turning lights on.........

I don't pay no mind to what time it is unless one of us has an appointment to be some where When your retired you can do that and the cattle don't care either ! I will miss the news on tv for a while until i get used to DST but, that's alright now i'm sick of all the political adds and all the fussing and bragging anyway. One more day of political ads, Jack.  Hang in there.
No, my sister didn't make it down.  She had a bad cold and wasn't up to the event.   I was at a state beekeeping meeting in central Kansas.  I think if I went, she would have gone along.

Our weatherman said we had "snow pellets" Monday morning.  We were in Houston at the time, so we missed them, whatever they are.

Somebody needs to tie Riverbees legs to the chair so she'll stop with the snow dancing.

Hey Squirt, keep that white crap up there! We had a light cover the first week or last week of Oct.? But 2 to 3 inches last week this has me worried because it has started to early Our bad stuff usually starts around the 10th of Jan.!!! I put out round hay bales last week when the ground was covered with the new Kabota 60hp tractor and the sun was out and i had to open the side windows on the cab? it got hot in there and i didn't have the heater on think maybe i'm going to like this Orange tractor after all !

jack you just enjoy that tractor, and if ya get buried in the white stuff, that kubota will most certainly dig you out..........

WOW it is cold! Water in the back bathroom froze up...  supposed to be -19 tonight.. heres to hoping it starts warming up after that and that we have an early spring!

Time to revive an old post...   
as there isn’t much discussion of bees here lately, let’s at least chat here....
Today I get to attend a virtual piano recital for my kids.  Gotta love the times we live in. 
Hope everyone is doing well and those that have weather like mine today - May you get outside and enjoy it!!

We are doing well in South Texas.  We've been in a bit of a drought, down 12" at the end of last year, and another 6" at the beginning of May.  We are catching up a bit, finally.  The small showers have been a nice relief.

I'm going out later today to fit a custom-built robber screen on one of my long langs, and then swapping out fully drawn frame for one the bees haven't touched.
