Hello, Everyone!!

Good morning, All! 

My husband and I are building a home in Johnson City, TX (Blanco County).  We should be there in May.  We are looking forward to reinventing ourselves, i.e. raising bees, chickens, gardening, etc. 

Does anyone in this forum live in the area?  Are there any clubs or groups in the area that my husband and I can join?  We are eager to learn!!

Welcome Laura. You've found a very nice forum.

I live near Waco, and we also have chickens, bees, and garden. Been through Johnson City often, and have spent some enjoyable time at Texas Hills Vineyard.  ;)

Be sure to let us know how things are going and don't be afraid to ask questions.

you might wish to check us out here... www.facebook.com/groups/CentralTexasBeekeepers/ < we do a  bee school which should be coming up the last Saturday in March.  pretty much a Texas sized affair.  WaltB attended some years ago when it was a bit smaller.   

or to find a bee club close to you search for the web presents of the Texas Beekeepers Association...   they have a list on their web page of all the clubs in Texas.
