i have some hives i'd like to move & the weather is perfect. is there any reason not to at this time of year? i'll be bringing them to my home yard so they'll be easier to manage.

I would say to do it before the bees cluster. If they are clustered and you hit a bump, the queen could get chilled. I assume you are moving them over 2 miles, and that's good. Good luck.
