Buttercream Honey Icing
« on: February 15, 2014, 09:40:40 pm »
I posted this on another beekeeping forum.  It's so good, I thought it was worth sharing here.
This recipe makes enough to frost a two layer cake.

Buttercream Honey Icing

1 1/2 sticks of unsalted butter, slightly softened
1/3 cup honey
4 cups powdered sugar
1Tablespoon milk

Place all in a mixing bowl and beat until creamy.  If it's a little too stiff add a bit more milk to make it easy to spread.

My family uses this icing recipe all the time now. We picked it up  awhile back when Bakersdozen posted this recipe on the other website. It is really good.

My wife printed it. Darn, there's a few more pounds.  ;D
