So I recently went in with a friend of mine on some printing equipment (DTF, Silk Screen, and Sublimation), so now we are having to learn the ins and outs of the process.
This entails everything from design to the actual printing.

Anyhow, here is one I came up with yesterday - it is a list of the crops pollenated by honeybees (according to Wikipedia that is).

It will be printed on a shirt for sure (as I want one), but may try to scale to see how small I can go - might blow it up to a poster as well, who knows?



I also redid our logo for the local Keepers Association




Once I get these down, I will work on shirts for us here...

That pollination crop one is super cool!  My only complaint is that "Peach" is too large.  It takes over the design too much, as if peaches are somehow the most important crop.  If that was more equal in size to the other large-fonted crops, I'd buy that shirt in a heartbeat.

do you have a crop you like more?  The software that sets it up picks one at random unless I dictate what word it should be...

I am genuinely curious what you would think best as the larger word?  I never really gave it any thought until you said something...

And what exactly do you have against peaches?  :o

I was able to tweak the size after all - see, a learning process!  :eusa_dance:




The only downside is that now some words need to be repeated to fill in the gaps - not really noticeable unless someone is staring at your shirt for a long time...

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!  Don't you DARE spread lies that I hate peaches!!   >:(  Peaches are sublime.   O:-)  We haven't been able to get good peaches for several years where we live and there has been a hole in my life.   :'(  We found a local orchard that has peaches, so we're going to try and get some from them this year.

I like it WAY better with the words all of similar size.  I don't think it's a big deal that the words are repeated.  Like you say, unless someone sat down and read the whole shirt, it wouldn't be noticeable.  Not only is it better visually, but it doesn't place undue emphasis on any particular crop.  I also like the words just horizontal.  I think the vertical and random direction words are too hard to read.

I agree that all about the same size looks better - thanks for the push.

Just got confirmation my practice shirts should arrive end of next week, and then I just need to find time to try a few things out... I'll post with updates as they come.

So.. the second design, save the bees... with WorldwideBeekeeping.com on top and keeping the bees alive worldwide under the logo?  Next question...  color of the design and words variable? IE a black shirt with colored logo like the WWB shirts we already have?

I guess I'm confused...
The Worldwide beekeeping shirts will be our logo - same as the ones before:



If you are asking me to design one like our association logo, I certainly could...

Color of the design - for our logo it is pretty much set.   The variety will be in the style and color of the shirt / hoodie/ whatever you want me to print on.
Once I know I can print these without messing up, I'll start a new thread with order info for the forum shirts.   anything else, I guess it would have to be on an individual basis.  I wasn't planning on soliciting orders, I was just excited about the designs  ;D

 As for other ideas. I have access to pretty much any color that can be made via your standard RGB combo.

Thats it! exactly what i was thinking...    I still have the two I bought, I take pretty good care of them, wear them to meetings etc only...   I didn't know if there would ever be more...   I WOULD like to get another one of those, and a couple of this design too...   so just let me know if your interested in doing that..  No worries if your not, I am still hoarding the original!!!!    :yes:
