So how was it?
Right! You cant leave us hanging like this!
I had a great day!
My mom helped me plant my 3 pussie willow cuttings in the morning. Here's a picture of one. We have chicken wire over them to keep the dogs from trampling them while they are little.
The place that sent us the willows also sent us a free bonus cutting of a string of pearls, which my mom potted up for me as a surprise. Here it is on my windowsill with my Gollum jade and my storm glass.
Then my sister and I played
Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime on the Xbox, we watched some Pirates of the Caribbean on TV, and then everyone gave me my cards and presents. I got Petra Ahnert's book
Beeswax Alchemy, some ingredients for making cosmetics, and my sister made me two beautiful bookmarks.
Then we watched the All-Star race, which ended with an extremely controversial caution at the checkered flag. My mom made Stromboli for supper and my favorite molten chocolate cakes for desert. Mmmmmm. . . .
And now I am 26!
But the fun doesn't end there! It's been a birthday tradition for me the past couple of years to have everyone paint something on one of my bee boxes, so today we're all going out to the garage to paint this afternoon. I'll post some pictures of everyone's boxes later.
