Wasp with Deformed Wings
« on: September 08, 2023, 05:53:05 pm »
I was cleaning up some equipment a few days ago and had a couple of bees and wasps checking out my frames that were sitting out, and I noticed that one of the wasps had deformed wings.  She looked just like a bee whose wings don't develop properly, and she couldn't fly.  I have seen some deformed wings in my bees over the summer.  I wonder if the virus jumped to the wasps.

I come from under the hill, and under the hills and over the hills my paths led.  And through the air, I am she that walks unseen.

Let's hope that's not a virus that affects wasps too. They are pollinators too.
