a keeper close to my daughter puts O.A. into paper soda straws & puts those into his hives. he claims it helps. i thought O.A. only worked as a vapor or a liquid drench. opinions please

I don't understand how it would work.
The bees would probably start chewing on the straws to remove them from the hive. Wouldn't that burn their tongues and mouths?

my thoughts exactly. it's the vapor that works. orally it's a poison?

Everybody has an opinion. Some of these ideas leave me scratching my head.
