That’s a 140 lb dog, I would be reluctant to him with a short.
I use the 110 conibear to keep the squirrels out of the bird feeder (although generally they get it going down the pole). Maybe a double spring does the job better than that single spring does.
I was going to take off his collar and drop him at the pound. I wonder if I would have to give my name. If he had an ID chip it would cost them $200 recovery and fine.

The problem with some of these remedies, is that the wrong critter is being punished. Owners deserve a lot more of the "credit" for raisng "dumb" animals in most cases.

It would not solve the problem. He has a friend that breeds them and they just get another. the devil you know is better than the one you don't.

I had a neighbor a few years ago with a German Sheppard. The first time he killed my chickens, I ask him to put her up. The second time I explained it to him this way.

If my chickens come in your yard, enjoy the chicken stew. If your dog comes in my yard, it will be a one way trip.
It solved my problem.

My definition is a piece of bread.. buttered on both sides with a hole cut out in the middle.. toss it in a frying pan and pour an egg into the hole.. flip when browned..    add syrup of choice and eat!!!
Also works really well when fried in bacon grease!
Drinking RUM before noon makes you a PIRATE not an alcoholic!
