HEY!!   hehye, got some here too...  don't have to worry about taking care of ours though :)   This is in the pond right in front of our house...

They were within fifteen feet of us while we watched the sunset a couple nights ago. They seem to tolerate us fine, but head for the hills if the dogs get let out.

I've got a pond by my ranch headquarters.  Are geese smart enough to stay on the water at night?  If not, I would be feeding my coyotes.

I won't let them nest around my fishing pond, they can't take 3 steps without taking a squirt (no offense rb :D)and makes such a mess you could slide off the bank into the pond from it :o. If they do nest they won't let any other geese light on the pond, if they do the ganders will fight all over it and the fish stop biting >:(. I mow around the banks of the pond with a lawn mower and if i get close to there nest the gander and i have a set too >:(. I use to let them try to raise their young around the pond, but something always gets there eggs or kills there gosling. They are fun to watch. 8) Jack
PS. don't care for the meat, it's all dark meat and greasy, but that's just me. :)

Thats not GREASY Jack, its JUICY  LOL!!
I allow one pair at our pond only, because the wife likes to watch them so much..  They dont make near the fuss or problem that the deer do..  I just lost the last three young apple trees...
Grass is still green, Corn is five feet from these trees. Thje deer have ALL THEY WANT to eat, and they decide to STRIP every young apple tree I have of bark. Not a NIBBLE of bark left on the lower 5 feet of the trees..   The one good thing that came from losing the trees...  I have permission to shoot to kill, provided I get my gun out before she gets hers....
