I won't let them nest around my fishing pond, they can't take 3 steps without taking a squirt (no offense rb
)and makes such a mess you could slide off the bank into the pond from it
. If they do nest they won't let any other geese light on the pond, if they do the ganders will fight all over it and the fish stop biting
. I mow around the banks of the pond with a lawn mower and if i get close to there nest the gander and i have a set too
. I use to let them try to raise their young around the pond, but something always gets there eggs or kills there gosling. They are fun to watch.

PS. don't care for the meat, it's all dark meat and greasy, but that's just me.
