Well, we had our Nova Scotia Beekeeping Association AGM meeting today, and the guest speaker was Dennis vanEngelsdorp.
I have been a big follower of his since the whole CCD outbreak happened and his Ted TV talk (that I have used on a presentation or two). It was a really good meeting, well attended (but room for growth). Dennis was his usual self, holding court in the most easy manner you can imagine. Door prizes were plenty (I won 2 cases of hex jars), lots of good gift certificates, some a $100!

Elections were held and I am now the Vice-President of the Association. A friend down the road and I fought over who would be President and
I won!
,
he's the President. Neither of us has any experience at it so we agreed to work together on both positions.
I wish I took better pictures, I guess I should get a better camera.

At the end of it I went up to Dennis, shook his hand and thanked him, handed him a sharpie, and started unbuttoning my work shirt! Dennis looked at me wondering what the heck I was up to!

I spun around and dropped the shirt off the back of my shoulders and when he spotted what was there he thought it was hilarious. He signed it for me and said that in all his lectures that was a first!

I will say this, when people meet me they usually don't realize what they're up against!
