Turning Wood To Earn Extra Cash For Hive Equipment

There could be worse jobs to earn extra cash for hive equipment.  A friend of mine who is a fine furniture craftsman by trade outsourced the task of turning 8 credenza feet .  I am honored he trusted me with this part of his project.  And, as a side effect, I am glad to earn enough extra cash to buy about 50 frames/foundation.  It is getting close to swarm season and splitting time so I could use some extra frames.

Yes it is Jim! I have a couple Sorby but mainly a variety of lathe tools I have picked up over the years.  My favorite skew is a Benjamin Best.  I love turning.  Do you turn?

Dave, No I don't turn. I had a lathe (not well made from Taiwan) that I gave away. I kept some Sorby tools in case I get back into it. I just got home from an auction that they sold a bunch of Sorby tools for a good price. I ended up buying 11 fruit trees at the auction. I better go get busy planting now. LOL You do very impressive lathe work.

I love bens tools. Good quality and very cheap. My first dressers I purchased feet for it. After that I turned my own bun feeet. I also stressed about getting them an exact match but it really does not matter if they are close. I picked up a used sorby lathe about two years ago
