"Baker, i don't know, i was thinking about how the wife buys white or chocolate bark to melt down and make peanut clusters and such for Christmas  candy. If you cut the chunks and let it drip dry like squirt does and dip it in the melted chocolate,"

"I'm invisioning the frozen honeycomb dipping into the melted chocolate... and the chill of the honeycomb would would harden the chocolate more quickly.."

yep, i have done it a couple different ways, but if you drain the comb honey as i do it does help.  frozen honey comb yes, it works, i freeze all my comb honey. dip it in the chocolate, roll it in crumbled nuts if you like and refrigerate or freeze right away.  or like fondue, warm chocolate, crumbled nuts, comb honey squares.....hmmm, hmmmm!

wish i could figure out how to stick it in peanut butter...... :D

btw bakers, NICE photo!

I know heating the honey that high of temp kills the enzymes, but I think Honey still has a coating effect that helps with sore throats. And I plan to try some mixed with lemon, cinn etc.

I would never sell these as medicine but folks do have their own ideas.

And yes, the Honey does have a caramelized taste to it. But it's still good.

Honey Comb and melted Chocolate, man o man.

Sometimes that only adds to the interest of the topic!

Yankee:  Right, about not selling them as medicine.  You don't want to make unsubstantiated claims.  You could throw out there, when someone is looking at them, "My kids sure like those when they have a sore throat."  Or something similar.  How much would you sell the lollipops for?

Here's something to think about? What about using the chocolate that they use to dip your ice cream cone in that cakes up fast. Of course it would be a mothers nightmare with the mess it would make eating it in the house. :D I'm kind of parcel to the Butterscotch too ;D Hmmm, butterscotch and comb honey ??? Jack

I think you can get that fast setting chocolate in the bottle. That's not a bad idea Jack. If the honeycomb is frozen then that fast setting chocolate would set up quickly, and I think once it's set up it might stay set up with a cellophan wrapper and a price tag. The only way to tell is to try it, and I would but I don't have any comb  :-\

Yeah, me!

If they are a total pain in the you know what, price accordingly.  I wonder if you will need to keep them cold.  It might be an issue if you are outside, it's humid, sunny, etc.  It would be a shame if all that work were to end up in a puddle.

The lollipops have been shelved for time being. To much going on right now.

But, the ones I did make I put in the cabinet. Checked them and they did not hold their shape. Were nor runny or liquid just like gravity got to them. So, I will mess with them more when things slow down. I have found a couple recipes for them and will play around more later.

To much Honey selling going on right.

Gotta get the low hanging fruit outa the way. :-)

That makes some sense there, the sugar would help keep the lolipop solidified ~
