Pulling Honey Frames
« on: October 11, 2014, 03:37:24 pm »
All 4 of my hives have a medium super on, 10 frames fully plugged. If I take one of those frames, is it okay to leave nine for the winter. I don't need to know if it's leaves enough food for the bees. I want to know if it's okay to center those 9 frames together and leave a gap at each wall?

With drawn comb or honey, 9 frames and space them evenly. With foundation,10 frames pushed  together and leave the two openings to the outside. Yes, it will be fine to leave 9 frames of honey in each.
