I need to go back to the tick infected outyard to check some nucs and probably take off honey on some of the hives, not looking forward to it
. I just now quit scratching like my dog and looking for that tell, tell, bulls eye sign on my body.
Counting from last Friday to now we've had over 5 in. of rain with prediction of 6 in. or more over the next 3 days, maybe it will drown those little devils.
This is just as bad for honey production as drought, the bees fly between rains, but the rain has washed the nectar out of the flowers and come back hungry and eat up stores
. I won't complain about all the rain, but i would like to see if i can find what we planted in the garden amongst the weeds
