that's so sad.  So, CA has how many seasons now?  Hmmm, are you trying to change the world again?   :D

It's the funniest thing Baker, we have what's called a grapevine on facebook, where our county people can log on and ask questions about local issues, advertise their businesses, ask who is the best veterinarian in the area, what week is the county fair... stuff like that.

It just astounds me when people 'Who Live Here!' ask "How come there is so much smoke?"

Good Grief! It's all over the news channels! It's in all of the newspapers and small circulars! There are pictures of the fallen firefighters on many of the shop windows! It's all over Facebook!

I swear... if one more person asks "Where is all this smoke coming from?"..................... Sorry, I'm on a rant! My head must be full of.... SMOKE!.........Thanks for listening  8)

Ef says:  I think we already had a thread started by Iddee that gives us some idea of the intelligence displayed in some of the Facbook posts  :o

Wow Jen, that is scary stuff.  I see the fires on the news and feel so sorry for the folks that lose everything.  I hope you are in area that is not so tenuous.

Thanks Les  :)  the casualties this year haven't been nearly as bad as some years, like when a fire truck full of fire fighters rolled down a 200 foot embankment and killed them all, The smoke was so thick the driver lost sight of the road. That happened less than 10 years ago. It was the worst!

The area we live in hasn't been too bad this year so far, and we do get a little bit of sun everyday when the wind blows the smoke out for awhile. It's like this every year, some are worse than others. We have learned to expect it.

Thank you for your kind words ;)
