Found this outside of hive

Can I get sone ideas on what this cell was? It looks to small for a queen cell .

looks like a queen cup they threw out

Iddee's right, and it's nothing to worry about.

Ok thanks for the input. What exactly is a queen cup?  I am going to open the boxes up here in a while to check on them.

Bees build and tear down queen cups all through the season.  just something they do.  When  used  they are the start of a cell  to rear a queen in
