At my age, it's hard to remember that far back in history,  but when I try hard, I can remember back to last spring when things looked very different...

Believe it or not, they're grapefruits. You can also spot some unopened flower buds on the tree (plus a lot of dead branches that need to be pruned away).  Unfortunately, since most of the fruit is inedible due to my not spraying it with any insecticides (the yellow color of the fruits is a strong attractant to the Mediterannean fruit fly), I tend to neglect the tree and give it less than optimum care.

54, 55, 58, 54..... all in the forecast for the next few days...  I am NOT complaining because i too remember standing in my window, staring out at the waves of snow blowing in front of the wind across the fields when it was -20 with 50+ mph winds...  Come ON sunshine!
