The skies have been pretty dry for the last two weeks.  But today we got the first dribbles of the heavy rains we've been hearing predicted since this past Sunday.  Tomorrow and Fridday are predicted to be the height of the storm with heavy rains, winds  and  intense cold. We cancelled our planned visit to spend the week-end with two of our childrens' families in the higher, inland area of the country.  There it should be much colder than here and there's even a chance of that white powder falling there.
Of course, I've got nothing to complain about---relative to what some of you have been suffering, our weather is all pleasure.

Well the rain yesterday and today broke the record for rain in this month of December with 18 inches, and it is still raining with some clearning tomorrow after 12 pm, we will see, no sun shine until next year, with a cold spell after, take it instead of the rain for now.

Just saw a aerial shot on the news at Arnold, Mo and I remembered Rober lives there. The whole town was flooded! Has anyone heard from him?

Hey Neil: Thanks for pointing that out, and yes, I just sent him an email asking if everything was OK.

Looking at 2015, the avg. rainfall for this area is 52 inches.  My weather station recorded 74 inches.  That is for a year, but that's still a lot of water.  I've been trying to get dozer work since Thanksgiving, but it's just too wet.
