Space station

I don't know how many of you are into space.  But at this site you can see when the station is passing overhead.  Pretty neat to think about on a clear evening.  https://spotthestation.nasa.gov/

Thanks!  I'm going to be sure to be outside during one of those passes.  :)

I always thought it was neat. My students really get into when we study space.  Last year when the twin went up the kids really got energetic with keeping up with it. Nice to see them excited and asking questions.

Glad you guys enjoy it, relaxing and pondering things is my speed at dusk :D

Well that was cool. I read this thread for the first time this evening. I clicked on the link, punched in my city, and learned that the next pass would happen in 3 minutes!

Wife & I went outside in time to watch as it passed by our house.

I waved, and they flashed their lights at me!

thanks dunkel, very cool!  no sightings for me right now, but maybe in the future, i'd love to see this!  so i bookmarked your link, thanks!

thought i would share this.......while we were in tucson, arizona in january, we were treated to a star gazing evening with a professional astronomer.  he brought a massive telescope to the place we were staying (tanque verde ranch.....awesome place to stay) and we were able to take pix through the telescope........pretty cool, here are some shots:
