checking hive for spring

when is a good time to go check out my hive. lol getting antsie. been in the mid 50's here and wondering if it's still to cold to go inside the boxes to see what i have. any help please. ty marty

Just checking for food brood and queen cells . Just want to be ready and have an extra hive ready to go before it happens
