« on: February 02, 2014, 12:22:27 pm »
We are cooking hot wings, meatballs, turkey nuts, dips and chips you would think the Superbowl is on. Nope!! I'm celebrating the little lying ground hog seeing his shadow this morning. Have a great day. Oh did I mention Superbowl 48 is on this evening :D

I was supposed to go to a Prime Rib Super  Bowl party.  One of the horses decided that today was the day to colic. No prime rib for me. :'(
I'm starting to think that the bees are keeping me...

I saw a story on the news last night about a restaurant in NYC (I don't remember the name of the restaurant)  but for a party of 20 they had kobe steak and fixins, and grade A beverages for a mere $150,000 for a NYC tailgate party.

I was gonna say something snappy, but in all honesty I didn't know what they were either and I thought I might really make myself look foolish if I was wrong, so don't feel bad.  :D

My grandfather used to have "Nut Fries" At the tavern here in town all the time. Pig and turkey...  spent a LOT of time helping to clean those things in preparation for the deep fat fryer.   It was ALWAYS amusing to see someone sit down and grab a handful, say.. oooh, these are good, what are they?
Then promptly put them back and rush to the bathroom without trying to look apparent..  new practices in raising pigs has negated the need for half a dozen teenage boys to chase piglets around a pen trying to catch them, which also means there are no longer five gallon buckets filled with the removed resource with which we filled the deep fat fryer...     A wonderful thing for the father of a lovely young daughter in farm country to keep on the kitchen table.. a pack of razor blades and a can of yellow disinfectant...  Unfortunately, the young boys of today have no CLUE what its for..   well, some found out, the rest remain blissfully ignorant
